A wonderful welcome @MROC Day 2012
During my second week at InSites Consulting, I had the chance to join the Research Community team for our annual MROC Day (part of the InSites Consulting MROC Academy). For me and the rest of the ‘newbies’ it was the perfect opportunity to quickly catch up on recent developments. But we also took a look at a number of cases, and got a sneak-peek at future plans. In this blogpost I will be taking a quick look at this exciting day…
Getting off to a good start
We started the morning with opening presentations looking back on what has been accomplished in the past year and looking ahead at the plans for the year ahead. From there we quickly moved on to more practical matters: as moderators we have a bag of tools to engage with participants and data. New tools are regularly added to this bag, and we were shown the newest additions – I look forward to testing them out!
Turning theory into practice
We also got to know the moderators! For me one of the coolest things about my new job is working together with people from all over the world, and the video in which our external moderators introduced themselves really brought them to life. After the video it was time for lunch – a chance to get to know our colleagues from the other offices.
After lunch we looked at a variety of cases from new fields such as the healthcare industry, the B2B sector and BRIC countries, showcasing the versatility of the MROC product. We also looked at even more tools, but this time for analysis and reporting. These will help us to turn the raw information from our communities into a powerful story brimming with insights.
Finally, the day was ended with a surprise closing act by Belgium country manager Hakim Zemni, who took us on a whirlwind tour of the history of market research – a great way to know where we’re coming from, where we are, and where we’re going!
All in all, a great day filled with great presentations that all seemed much too short. Time truly does fly when you’re having fun. And finally, because pictures say more than words, here’s our visual summary of the day!
