After his graduation as a Master in Applied Economics at Ghent University in 2002, Bert was education quality researcher at a Belgian business school. In 2005 he became Research and Teaching Assistant Marketing and doctoral researcher at Ghent University, working on his thesis on innovative consumers (early adopters) and their motivations for buying these innovations. After finishing his PhD in 2010, he joined InSites Consulting, focusing on general content and project management for several international clients. Since 2017, he is leading the German team in the Düsseldorf office. At InSites Consulting, Bert was responsible for 7 years for research for several international companies in the innovation field, such as AB InBev, Alpro, Barry Callebaut, Chiquita, Continental Foods, Dr. Oetker, Nestlé, Nespresso, Mars, Mondelez, Südzucker Group, Ter Beke, Vandemoortele… Since 2017, Bert has been broadening his scope towards the German market. Current clients are Arla Foods, Continental Foods, Henkel, Jägermeister, Mars, Miele, Südzucker Group… He has conducted 140+ research projects and has a lot of experience in innovation research. He is experienced in both quantitative and qualitative research. Since many years, Bert has been actively involved in conducting both local and global Consumer Consulting Squares.
